40 days to launch
Questions, answered straight
ViceScreen is an unofficial second-screen companion for GTA VI. The game ships on 19 November 2026. Everything below describes what is true today, not what is planned.
- What is ViceScreen?
- A second-screen companion for GTA VI. You keep it open on a phone, tablet or second monitor while you play: an interactive map with locations other players have found and verified, so you stop alt-tabbing into a wiki mid-mission.
- Is this official? Is it made by Rockstar?
- No. ViceScreen is independent and unofficial. It is not endorsed by, sponsored by, or affiliated with Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive. All game trademarks belong to their owners.
- Why does the map show Miami?
- Because the real one does not exist yet. GTA VI is not out, so there is no game map to license, trace or publish. What you see is a standard street map standing in for the real thing, so the interface can be built and tested now. It gets replaced at launch.
- So what works today?
- Honestly: not much, and that is the point of the waiting list. The map, the interface and the intel pipeline all run — but there is nothing real to put in them until the game ships on 19 November 2026.
- Where will the intel come from?
- Two sources. Players submit locations, and the community votes on them. Separately, an automated pipeline watches public discussions and extracts anything that looks like a concrete location. Nothing from that pipeline is marked verified on its own — a machine suggests, people confirm.
- Why is the live feed empty?
- Because nothing has passed verification. The pipeline has already processed well over a hundred sources and rejected every one of them, which is the correct answer while the game is unreleased. The feed stays empty rather than filling up with guesses.
- Will it spoil the game for me?
- Only if you ask it to. Locations are grouped by category and you choose which ones appear. Nothing is pushed at you while you play.
- What does it cost?
- The map and community locations are free. A Pro tier at 4.99 euro per month is planned for launch, for people who want everything unlocked. Nothing is for sale yet and no payment is taken today.
- Does it work on my phone?
- Yes. It installs to the home screen like an app, works in portrait and landscape, and keeps the screen awake while you have it open, so it does not go dark in the middle of a session.
- Do I need an account?
- Not to look around. Browsing the map needs nothing. Submitting and voting on locations will need an account once that opens at launch.
- Who runs this?
- ACTIV NET S.R.L., a company registered in Arad, Romania since 2008 (J02/407/2008, RO23409455). Not a pseudonymous account — full registration details, address and contact are on the Legal page. If you are being careful about a site that asks for your email, you are right to be, and that page is how you check us.
- What happens if I leave my email?
- You get one message when the map goes live, and nothing else. The address is not sold or shared, and every email has an unsubscribe link. There are no analytics and no third-party trackers on this site; the Legal page lists exactly what is stored.
